Introduction

Welcome to KukutFarm — FCR & Lifting ("App", "Application"). This Privacy Policy explains how KukutFarm ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with your use of our Android mobile application.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is designed to comply with:

• Google Play Store Developer Programme Policies
• India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT (Amendment) Act, 2008
• India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA)
• Google's Families Policy (where applicable)

By downloading and using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall and discontinue use of the Application.

Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide (Stored Locally Only)

During the one-time onboarding setup, you may enter the following information. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically by Third Parties

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may automatically collect the following device and usage data to serve relevant ads. This data is collected by Google, not by KukutFarm.

• Advertising ID (GAID): Android's resettable advertising identifier
• Device information: Device model, OS version, screen resolution
• IP address: Used for general location (country/region) for ad targeting
• App interaction data: Ad impressions, clicks, and session duration
• Diagnostic data: Crash reports and app performance data

How We Use Information

3.1 Your Locally Stored Data

The data you enter into the App is used solely for the following purposes, all processed on your device:

• Profile data: Pre-fills your name and contact on PDF invoices you generate
• Buyer profiles: Associates lifting sessions and payment records with the correct buyer
• Lifting sessions & FCR logs: Powers the calculator, FCR trend charts, and summary screens
• Outstanding records: Tracks dues and payments per buyer
• PDF invoices: Compiled from session data and shared by you via WhatsApp, email, or any sharing app on your device

3.2 AdMob Data (Google's Use)

Data collected by Google AdMob is used by Google to serve relevant advertisements within the App. Google uses this data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy. We receive aggregated, anonymised ad performance reports (total impressions, revenue) — never individual user data.

3.3 What We Never Do

• We never sell your data to any third party
• We never use your data for marketing profiling
• We never share your farm records, buyer details, or financial data with anyone
• We never use your data for purposes beyond running the App

Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage (WatermelonDB)

All data you create in the App — profiles, lifting records, FCR logs, buyer details, outstanding dues — is stored in a local database on your Android device using WatermelonDB (built on SQLite). This database is:

• Stored in the App's private storage directory on your device
• Not accessible to other apps without root access
• Not backed up to our servers in v1.0
• Protected by your device's lock screen and Android OS security

4.2 No Cloud Storage in v1.0

4.3 Security Measures

• All data remains within Android's application sandbox
• PDFs generated are saved to your device and shared only when you explicitly tap "Share"
• The App does not transmit farm data over any network
• We use forced app updates to ensure users always run the latest, most secure version

4.4 Your Responsibility

Since data is stored locally, you are responsible for securing your device with a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock. We recommend enabling your device's built-in backup to Google Drive to protect against data loss from device damage or loss.

Google AdMob & Third-Party Services

5.1 Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. By using the App, you consent to Google AdMob's data collection as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

• Banner ads: Shown on the Lifting Calculator screen and FCR Summary screen
• Interstitial ads: Full-screen ads shown after key actions such as saving a PDF or saving a daily FCR entry

Google AdMob may use your Advertising ID to serve personalised ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time by visiting your Android device settings:

Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

You can also reset your Advertising ID from the same settings menu.

5.2 Google Play In-App Update

The App uses Google Play's In-App Update API (sp-react-native-in-app-updates) to check for and install mandatory updates. This uses Google Play's standard update infrastructure and does not collect additional personal data beyond what Google Play already has.

5.3 No Other Third-Party SDKs

In v1.0, the App integrates only Google AdMob and Google Play In-App Update. We do not use Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, Crashlytics, or any other analytics or tracking SDK that would collect personal data.

Children's Privacy

KukutFarm — FCR & Lifting is designed for use by adult poultry farmers and agricultural business owners. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, or under the age of 18 in jurisdictions where higher age thresholds apply.

We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this App, please contact us immediately at dev.kukutfarm@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.

Your Rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and general privacy principles, you have the following rights:

7.1 Right to Access

All data you have entered is visible and accessible to you directly within the App at all times — in your profile, buyer list, lifting history, and FCR logs.

7.2 Right to Correct

You can edit or update any data you have entered — including your profile details, buyer information, and session records — directly within the App.

7.3 Right to Delete

You can delete any record within the App at any time. Deleting individual entries, buyers, or sessions is supported from within the App. To delete all your data, simply uninstall the App — this permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.

7.4 Right to Opt Out of Personalised Ads

You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google AdMob via your Android device settings as described in Section 5.1. The App will still show ads, but they will be non-personalised.

7.5 Right to Grievance Redressal

If you have any privacy-related concerns or complaints, please contact our Grievance Officer at dev.kukutfarm@gmail.com. We will respond within 15 business days as required under applicable Indian law.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your farm records are retained on your device until you delete them within the App, or until you uninstall the App.
• PDF invoices saved to your device storage remain there until you delete them manually.
• AdMob data is retained by Google per Google's own data retention policies.

We do not hold any of your farm data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete or retain on our end in v1.0.

Internet Connectivity Requirement

The App requires an active internet connection to function. If the internet connection is lost during a session, the App will restrict further use until connectivity is restored. This internet requirement exists for two reasons:

• Ad serving: Google AdMob requires connectivity to load and display advertisements, which is how the App is monetised as a free product.
• Forced update check: The App checks Google Play for available updates on every launch to ensure you are always on the latest version.

While internet connectivity is required to use the App, your farm data itself does not travel over the internet. The two functions above are the only network activities in v1.0.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as we add new features (such as cloud backup in a future version). When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page
• Notify you through an in-app notice or on the App's Play Store listing
• Where required by law, seek your explicit consent before processing your data in a new way

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000, IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
